Sometimes, I really don’t understand why I love this game too much in despite of this shitty game physics and 999999999 GB ram need. Optimization is worst of all but I think I love crafting and capability of build in this game.

I love the destruction physics of 7dtd, the fact that you need to account for structural integrity in your builds makes base building so much more fun and creative, and then when you learn to abuse the building physics and AI pathing to build hilarious defenses is endlessly fun

That’s why the game gets so laggy at times. The entire engine calculates the support for every block and then if it decides a block doesn’t have enough support has do decide where it drops. Of course there’s no real physics, so things just fall pretty much straight down in a cascade fashion.
As broken as it is, it’s still kinda fun to play.

I find that if you don’t watch it fall, you’ll end up with more recoverable materials.

Me and my buddies tried doing this same thing on Dishong Towers by knocking out all the structural blocks on the first floor. Big mistake lol. It lagged the server so badly we had to fly out of the chunk so it’d stop loading. 3 days later, the tower was still falling.

I did this to a poi building that was in the way of our hoard nights. I didn’t want to spend a long time taking it down top to bottom, so I broke block after block in a long looping line around the base of the house and after it was done collapsing, clean up took five minutes. All in all, it took like, twenty minutes.

I did a day 28 horde at that poi and it held up great. Started in the building off to your right that has the lower level, used that as a pit to knock zombies into and make them climb back up, then when they broke the hatch i went onto the roof and jumped over to some bars on the tower and rained down my explosive arrows. Worked like a charm

It feels like this is one of the ‘guys things’ that every guy can enjoy unanimously

Edit games files in notepad and change steel block shapes properties into floatation blocks. That tower and every steel block ignore gravity thereafter perfect for sky bases.

This game is such hot garbage my lord i backed this on kickstarter and i have never regretted giving my money to a developer more in my life. They have had years to make the game even remotely intiuitive but its still a clunky ugly convoluted mess, rife with unnecessary complexity.
