A tear shed for a theme lost

The game felt so immersive back then. I would feel like I was literally hiding in my base at night, scared to go out.
Now it just feels overwhelming and grinding.
Still fun to play but I don’t play for long periods of time like I used to.

They got rid of this song. Then they got rid of the Hub City sound effects. I remember the creepy whispering in the hub city. They need to bring that shit back.

I remember when my dad and I bought this back in 2013, and I opened the game I was amazed with the menu music. Him and I had so much fun playing it we both taught each other different things in the game and we both the exploration. This music brings back memories.

This brings back memorys, if 7 days had a proper story mode, i feel this would be a great ending theme for the game.
I got this game when it first came out and i’ve clocked nearly 2k hours in it.
I do miss some things from the early days,like the hornets and the really creepy ambient sounds, like the baby screaming and the truck trying to reverse…. IMO the game was creepier back in the day, i’m not say you can’t get a good jump scare now, just that it was different. (and theres nothing wrong with that)

When I was 8 or 9 years old, this game along with Minecraft and Left 4 Dead 2 were the games that I had on my PC, it was alpha 4.1, I had not bought them (legally), because I had downloaded them from a video, but outside of that, the game was pretty good, maybe I’ll give it another try and see what’s new. with my almost 16 years (by the way, I confirm that the youtube algorithm is crazy for recommending this to me, bruh)

I remember this from when the game 1st came out , and I don’t know why they took it out and they choke it out I love it!

I never played this game because my pc cannot handle it, but I watched a youtube channel in 2014, it was two friends recording gameplays of the game. Their series had like more than 500 episodes, it was so funny and I’ve watched every single one of them. When I tried to run a cracked version of the game this music played, hearing it now I get so much nostalgia, man I miss those times.

Didnt even know this was a thing and honestly i regret not playing the game earlier.

For anybody coming here recently, don’t let the other’s lead you astray. The developers DID, in fact, get the rights to the song, they just stopped using it because the company who made the song kept copyrighting those who used it in YouTube videos.

This theme is still by far my favorite. The second one they had was my least favorite. The new one that came with Alpha17 is decent, but I still like this one much more. If I could figure it out I would modify my game to play this one instead, but for now I just come back to this video to hear my favorite theme for the game.

This is ripping off 28 days later so badly, it’s not even funny, just…..bad. They were actually originally going to use the soundtrack of 28 days later, but couldn’t. I just hate ripoffs, they could have made it similar, but not basically the same exact thing. This is just stupid honestly. 28 days later is the better version, this sucks worse then Taylor Swift. D

I miss this theme, I used to play this game when it was still on alpha 7 on my bro’s computer, alpha 14 changed it all. No doubt they got sued by those people who made 28 days/weeks later cuz they sound pretty similar, well the tempo and the beat to say the least, still.. I was comparing this to Vampire the Masquerade: blood lines. Intro. Both are so awesome and under rated. Who were these brilliant writers??? Both were subtle at first, even a little depressing, then it grew. Well done.

For those saying the 7 Days to Die music and the 28 Days Later music are similar, let me compare each one with visual imagery,

I was watching something in geography again, and this totally sounded like the music they put in the background CD

I heard this to “Extreme Weather” by Suspect Sky on YouTube as the class was watching it during geography and goddamn, I was literally banging my head because It sounded so familiar, then it came to me, It was 7 Days To Die theme song! But I know there has to be an alternative name.

28 days later theme, brings more of a weird rage and hollow feel, this one is more like a hope theme in sense, idk why but i feel like this would be good in a way of “hope in the zombie apocalypse” while the 28 days later theme was more “no hope, violence is the only way.” kind of theme. i like this one and there is a difference between the two.

Similar style to 28 days later, but completely original. Different chord progression and 28 days uses more diminished chords which adds a way different feel.

Reminds of me of 28 Seconds Later or whatever it was called.

Just bewildered by the people saying it is basically the same as 28 days/weeks later theme or big daddy kills theme from Kick Ass. People must just be completely unable to tell the difference between tones and rhythm. Either that or they are borderline deaf. The only similarity is the layout, the fact they start slow, pick up pace and finish slow. But even then the pace isn’t the same in each. They are in no way the same and they don’t even sound the same.

If you’ve listened to One X by Three Days Grace, there’s a bit of guitar solo that reminds me of a sped up version of this theme

(1rst day)i was only 8 years old, when my parents saw in the news abouth a huge crissis epidemy, i didnt know what was all that abouth, (2nd day)but suddently we saw many people running away from extrangqe people, white, evil, hungry, we just ran away to the center of the city,(5th day) i just saw how my dad gave his life to save mom and i, and now i realize that i dont wana lose my mom, (7th day) they broke the door, mom suddently trow me out of the window and i fell on a big trash truck, then i heard how she just yell at me RUNN, RUNN, now im just alone and happy to see my parents again, and they are hungry.
