Well this is a coincidence. I did the same thing last night but with metal spikes under the drawbridge. Struggling to get out and died slowly

I had a somewhat similar thing happen to me back when I first started playing 7 days. This was back in alpha 12, and dead zombie corpses would turn into gore blocks (similar to the terrain blocks) after some time.

So I had a pit of spikes with hatches as a sort of drawbridge since those didn’t exist back then. A wandering horde was coming and I tried to get into my base and basically did the same thing. The hatches were closed so I could walk across but I instinctively hit the button to close them since I usually left them open so zombies couldn’t cross. I fell into my spike pit.

I pulled out my axe, broke the spike underneath me so it stopped hurting me, used a med kit to heal/stop bleeding, and then had to fight off the horde with a shotgun as they fell into the pit with me. I killed all the zombies and survived but was surrounded by corpses and a little low on health.

Before I could get out, the corpses started turning into gore blocks and one fell on me and killed me.
